Pretty Things: Circus Themed Decor

Iron-On Octopus Transfer (for pillows, napkins, etc), lemondedeamelle

Vintage Toy Lithograph Plates, nesstiques

Vintage Circus Poster, KingPaper

Vintage 'Jumbo the Elephant' Iron Bank, candlerarts

'60s Libby Merry-Go-Round Glasses, twinheartsvintage

Elephant Prince Pillow Cover, vivasweetlove

Vintage Ringmaster Shelf-Sitter, jollytimeone

Circus-Themed Fabric, BlendidSplendid

Vintage Toy Box (!), DaveysVintage (would make a great sewing box)

Lots of these would look great in a vintage-inspired nursery, and I always love old movie or circus posters for living areas. There are so many elephants! I've always felt bad for circus elephants (and all circus animals, really). I think that's why I included so many.

  1. These are some cool items! I like how circus stuff is festive yet kind of eerie. My uncle used to be the ringmaster of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, so my family would go to the circus whenever they were in town. I did feel bad for the animals, and some of the clowns were really creepy. The acrobatic acts were pretty neat, though.

  2. @29 Skirts: Ohhh wow that's awesome! I've actually never been to a circus, which I know is weird, but now I'm afraid to go because I'll be too sad for the animals, haha. But I've always loved the aesthetic of it.
